1. Switching in a short period of time requires more investment in costs
At present, the vehicles operating on the road are mainly traditional semi trailers, and the illegal use of large plate cars has not been eradicated. In terms of transportation volume, although the central axle road trains may be slightly better than semi trailers, they do not have an advantage when facing large plates. Furthermore, replacing vehicles with mid axle road trains in a short period of time requires a significant investment, which is not advantageous from a user perspective.

At present, many logistics companies, parking lots, and road designs in China are designed based on semi trailers and other vehicle models. Middle axle road trains appeared relatively late and failed to catch up with the early development of logistics in the Red Sea. Their vehicle characteristics are obvious, and they also have high requirements for road conditions and station design. Therefore, middle axle road trains may only be used as vehicles in a few scenarios.
3. The technology of mid axle highway trains in China is not mature
Many car owners have reported that the stability of mid axle highway trains is poor when driving on slippery roads, and it is easy to experience tailspin and other situations when the road is slippery on rainy days. In addition, on some sections with large drops, mid axle highway trains are prone to tilting their tails on slopes, and the driving wheels are prone to slipping, resulting in the vehicle being unable to move forward. Moreover, when running with the center axle, the body of the vehicle is already prone to swinging up and down or left and right. The movement of the rear trailer is more flexible, and if the speed is too fast, it can easily cause tailspin. In severe cases, it can even cause the entire vehicle to lose control and roll.
4. Other technologically mature vehicle models have invisibly suppressed the development of central axle highway trains
At present, the domestic medium to long-distance transportation market is still dominated by semi-trailers, which can meet the transportation needs of most goods in terms of loading capacity, carrying capacity, and applicable working conditions. The most important thing is that the semi trailer market is relatively mature and has a variety of types, making its position in the market difficult to shake in the short term.
