In recent years, the country has attached increasing importance to environmental protection, and the promotion of new energy vehicles has also significantly increased. From purchasing discounts to financial subsidies, and then to continuously opening up road rights, new energy trucks are gradually emerging and becoming the new favorite of urban distribution transportation. Among them, electric trucks have won the favor of many car owners due to their advantages such as zero emissions, low noise, convenient gear shifting, weak vibration, and comfortable driving.
Due to the fact that electric trucks are driven by electricity and do not have a fuel engine, they do not require maintenance of oil, air filters, diesel filters, and machine filters like traditional trucks, making them more convenient and hassle free to use. This is also why many car owners believe that electric trucks do not require maintenance.
But is this really the case? In a sense, electric trucks are indeed more convenient to use than gasoline trucks, but it is inevitable that some functional components will be damaged during use, which affects driving safety. Regular vehicle maintenance is still necessary.
In general, the maintenance of electric trucks can be divided into three types: running in maintenance, daily maintenance, and regular maintenance. Next, we will provide a brief introduction based on the vehicle mileage.
1. The maintenance mileage during the break in period is approximately 2500-3000 kilometers. The maintenance during the break in period mainly focuses on the car owner's driving habits. The speed should not be too fast, and emergency braking, rapid acceleration, and other phenomena should be avoided or reduced as much as possible. Do not load too much goods.
Many car owners feel that with the advancement of vehicle technology, there is no longer a period of running in. In fact, when a new car undergoes appropriate running in, the fit and coordination between various mechanical components will be better, which can better play to the performance of the vehicle, provide a more comfortable driving experience, and extend the service life of the vehicle.
2. When the vehicle mileage reaches 5000 kilometers, the first maintenance of the vehicle is required, mainly for basic maintenance of the vehicle, such as checking/supplementing lubricating grease, checking the torque of fasteners, and replacing the rear axle gear oil.
3. After the first maintenance, the basic maintenance of the vehicle can be carried out at an interval of about 10000 kilometers, such as adding lubricating grease, checking the front wheel toe in, tightening the power battery harness and battery box bolts, and checking the brake components.
4. After an interval of 20000 kilometers, the maintenance of electric trucks should be inclined towards inspection and adjustment. In addition to basic maintenance items, it is also recommended not to inspect the air conditioning filter, high-pressure accessories, and chassis, such as the wear of the rubber of the rear auxiliary spring limit block, the replacement of gear oil in the electric power steering gear, and the inspection and replacement of the front axle assembly steering joint bushing.
5. When the maintenance interval reaches 50000 kilometers, the vehicle needs to undergo in-depth maintenance, mainly cleaning, inspecting, adjusting, and eliminating safety hazards, such as maintaining brake components, brake cylinders, coolant, etc., and replacing them in a timely manner if necessary.
Car owners can regularly clean and observe the tires after using the car every day, such as checking for foreign objects or normal tire pressure, shock absorbers for oil leakage, lack or deterioration of lubricating grease, deformation of leaf springs, and looseness of pipelines. Especially after loading heavy goods or driving under harsh conditions, they can determine whether maintenance is needed by conducting their own inspections.
In addition, there are several important maintenance details that car owners need to pay extra attention to:
1. Regularly inspect the air storage tank, and also inspect the air storage tank and air circuit during station maintenance to ensure the cleanliness of compressed air and stable operation of the air circuit.
2. Electric driven vehicles also need to add coolant because the heat generated by the motor during operation is very high, requiring coolant for heat dissipation. In daily use and maintenance, pay attention to the quantity and quality of coolant, and add or replace it according to the maintenance manual.
3. The important parts that require grease lubrication should maintain sufficient lubrication, such as the lubrication points of the front axle assembly, rear axle assembly, transmission shaft, and wheel end. In addition, in the oil part, such as rear axle gear oil and electric power steering gear oil, regular inspection and replacement are also required.
4. The failure of the battery pack is generally difficult to judge with the naked eye and requires professional instruments for detection. In daily use, car owners can pay more attention to whether there is obvious collision and deformation on the outside of the battery pack, whether there is damage, and check whether there is oil leakage in the lower part of the chassis.
