3. Small coach passenger cars are used for 10 years, medium coach passenger cars are used for 12 years, and large coach passenger cars are used for 15 years;

4. 13 years of use for public transportation vehicles;

5. Other small and micro operating passenger cars will be used for 10 years, while large and medium-sized operating passenger cars will be used for 15 years;

6. 15 years of use for dedicated school buses;

7. 20 years of use for large and medium-sized non operational passenger vehicles (excluding large sedans);

8. As long as the vehicle can pass the annual inspection, it can still be used.

So for models that have both a specified retirement age and a specified driving range, if the retirement age is reached, they will be forcibly scrapped. If the retirement range is reached, they can continue to apply for inspection, and if they pass, they can still be used.

Of course, even if the vehicle does not reach the specified age and mileage, it does not mean that the vehicle will not be scrapped. If the following situations occur, it will still be forcibly scrapped: after being disqualified for 3 years or more; Failure to obtain the motor vehicle inspection qualification mark for three consecutive inspection cycles; Unable to meet motor vehicle safety and emission standards.

What procedures do you need to follow when a vehicle is scrapped?

1. Bring your documents to the dismantling factory

Fill out the "Application Form for Stopping, Resuming/Cancelling Registration of Motor Vehicles" at the business department of the motor vehicle dismantling factory with the identity certificate, motor vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle driving license, and motor vehicle license plate of the vehicle host.

2. Issuance of automobile scrapping notice

Apply for registration and acceptance of the post, issue a "Car Scrap Notice" for vehicles that have reached the scrapping period, and issue a "Car Scrap Notice" for motor vehicles that have not reached the scrapping period after being confirmed by the motor vehicle inspection post to meet the car scrapping standards.

3. Send the vehicle to a regular dismantling factory

The vehicle host shall choose a recycling enterprise that meets the regulations to send the vehicle for dismantling according to the notice.

4. Disassembly of the five major assemblies for photography

The recycling enterprise will dismantle the vehicle and take photos after checking the "Notice". The engine is required to be separated from the vehicle, and the cylinder block of the engine should be broken, while the frame (chassis) should be cut off.

5. Handle scrap registration with disassembly photos

The "Change Form", "XX Province Update Automotive Technology Appraisal Form", "Scrap Vehicle Recycling Certificate", and vehicle disassembly photos of the vehicle host have been verified and signed by the motor vehicle inspection post, and the license plate has been recycled. They have been submitted for approval according to regulations, and scrapping registration has been processed.

6. Apply for subsidies

Owners who meet the subsidy standards for scrapping and updating old cars in various provinces and cities should bring the following materials to the business bureau window of each city's government service center to apply:
